George Maiorano

MEET THE FOUNDER
George Maiorano’s journey in health, medicine, and technology is driven by a lifelong passion for athleticism, science, and innovation. From an early age, he excelled in competitive sports — judo, wrestling, football, and soccer — ultimately discovering his dedication to fitness and wellness through bodybuilding. This foundation in discipline and performance shaped his deep understanding of the human body and the importance of optimizing health.
His career in medicine began in his uncle’s pharmacy, working as a pharmacy technician. This early exposure to pharmaceutical science ignited a passion for patient care and medication therapy.
George earned a degree in Computer Systems Engineering, developing skills that would prove foundational for his later work in medical technology and software development.
At NBME in Philadelphia, PA, George played a key role in developing the electronic testing platform for the USMLE and FSMLE Step 1, 2, and 3 exams — the critical assessments for medical licensure in the United States.
The NBME experience ignited his passion for merging technology with medicine, leading George to develop specialized medical and pharmacy software solutions for healthcare providers.
Realizing his true calling was in healthcare, George earned advanced credentials in Medicinal Biochemistry and Pharmacy. Today he combines his expertise in pharmaceutical science, biochemistry, and medical technology as Owner, Chief Scientific Officer, and Pharmacy Director at American Wellness Pharmacy.
